Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a treatment developed almost a half century ago in France to treat a variety of ailments, including vascular disease and poor circulation. These treatments have been found to be very effective in the reduction of cellulite deposits. In this procedure, a series of small injections is given into the skin to improve venous and lymphatic flow to break down and “flush” the fat nodules that are the cause of the irregular appearance of the cellulite deposits.

The injections are composed of a combination of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and supplements. Most commonly applied uses for mesotherapy include weight loss, cellulite reduction, face, neck, décolletage rejuvenation, and hair regrowth. Each injection is individually prepared depending on its purpose. This limits side-effects, reduces the possibility of drug interactions, and allows for a substantial reduction in the amount of medicine required to achieve the desired results.  Mesotherapy is more about losing inches than losing large amounts of weight.

The number of treatments required depends on the patient's body. Generally, the average patient requires eight to ten treatments.  However, thin people with problem areas such as "love handles" or "saddlebags" may require less, whereas obese individuals may require more. Some patients see results after one treatment session while others may require four to five treatments to begin to see results.

The majority of patients experience minimal discomfort with mesotherapy.  For those with lower pain thresholds, a numbing cream or painkillers can be used. A procedure generally takes 20 minutes and requires no preparation or recovery time and patients receiving treatments can generally return immediately to their work or normal activities. No heavy bandages or girdles are used. Side effects are generally limited to bruising. The bruises usually fade within one week.

Treatment areas will remain free of unwanted fat as long as the patient maintains a healthy diet and exercise. Treatments will require maintenance on a six month to one year basis

Mesolift
Aging, sagging and wrinkling of the skin occurs from accumulation of fat, loss of skin elasticity and excessive free radical damage. Using antioxidants and amino acids, mesotherapy can remove fat from under the neck, remove free radical damage, and tighten loose skin. The effects rejuvenate the face, eyelids, and neck without the unnatural appearance and painful recovery of surgical face lifting.

Hair Regrowth / Alopecia
Alopecia, the loss of hair, affects both men and women. Alopecia results from poor circulation, nutritional imbalances, and the excess of a hormone known as DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Mesotherapy can correct these problems, stimulating the body to naturally grow lost hair.

One very common type is thinning of the hair which tends to be much more common in women, and can be the source of great anxiety. Multiple causes exist, including thyroid problems, hormonal shifts as with menopause, stress, poor nutrition, or chronic illness. This method is particularly effective for those who suffer from hair loss after childbirth. As with any medical problem, correcting the underlying issue is critical in the proper healing of tissues.

Whatever the cause, Mesotherapy can be used to boost the circulation of the scalp and the health of the hair roots.  The tiny injections place a combination of nutrients and other substances into the scalp, right below the skin surface at the location of the hair follicles. Only very small amounts of medication are injected and there are no side effects from the mesotherapy.

Mesogun
Mesotherapy can be achieved using a mesogun or can be performed manually.

The development of the mesogun has improved the precision of the application of mesotherapy injections and  greatly speeds the completion of the injection process.
